Going Home

Robert Riley Brodrick was born in Wyandotte, Oklahoma on September 17, 1928 to Chester and Dorothy Brodrick. He was the oldest of thirteen children. He played on the football teams in Fairland and Wyandotte until his graduation from Wyandotte High School. He served in Germany in the Army during the Korean Conflict. After serving his country he returned home to marry Mariellen Hopkins on March 3rd, 1954. To this union was born two children, Riley and Rhonda. They lived and operated a dairy farm in the Wyandotte area. He worked for the B.F. Goodrich Company for 14 years. Robert felt the call of God on his life and entered the ministry, he was licensed with the Assemblies of God in 1963 and was ordained in 1973. He pastored churches in Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Missouri. Robert chose to go home with the Lord this morning, March 5 instead of continuing his fight with cancer.

He was preceded in death by his parents Chester and Dorothy Brodrick, a sister Alta Chafin, and two brothers, Frank and Bill Brodrick.
He is survived by his wife of the home, his son Riley Brodrick and wife Cindy and his daughter Rhonda Blankenship and her husband Keith. He has eight grandchildren, Jemma Russell and her husband Ben, Janiece Struble and her husband Adam, Jonna Blankenship, Rachel Robinson and her husband Nathanael, Raymond, Shauna, Roberta and Grace Brodrick. He is also blessed with five great grandchildren, Enoch, Eleesia, and Essa Struble and Aybrin and Asher Russell. He is also survived by two step granddaughters Beverly Hugo and Jessica Tucker, and two step great-greandaughters Elizabeth and Samantha Tucker, and two step great-grandsons Felix and Kadin Hugo.
He also leaves behind his three brothers, Chester, Clarence, and Edward, six sisters, Lois, Louise, Kathryn, Doretha, Ella Mae, and Dorothy, also one uncle, Albert Jones. Also left behind are a host of very special friends.

Visitation and Funeral Information

The visitation will be held tomorrow, Thursday March 6th at Fairland Assembly of God Church in Fairland Oklahoma from 5-7pm.
The funeral will be held Friday March 7th at Fairland Assembly of God Church at 1pm.
A memorial service will be held at First Oldfield Full Gospel Church on Sunday March 16th at 2pm in Oldfield Missouri.

Rev. Brodrick

Reverend Robert Brodrick has been a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, son and minister. The number of lives that he has touched are countless.
